WINLAB hosted NSF sponsored workshop entitled “New Frontiers in Spectrum”

The IRIS (Interdisciplinary National Research Center for Innovations in Spectrum) proposal team at Rutgers, Columbia, NYU, Princeton, Arizona, UT Austin, Oregon State and Syracuse, held an NSF-sponsored virtual research workshop on February 12, 2021.

The workshop entitled “New Frontiers in Wireless Spectrum Technology and Policy” explored emerging research topics in spectrum with a mix of invited lectures by external speakers along with talks/demos by members of the IRIS team.  The event also included keynote talks from three distinguished experts working in the spectrum field: Prof. Linda Doyle (Trinity College, University of  Dublin), Prof. Matti Latva-aho (University of Oulu), and Dr. Nada Golmie (NIST).  The agenda also included talks by Profs. Andrea Goldsmith (Princeton), Henning Schulzrinne (Columbia), Ted Rappaport (NYU) and many others from the IRIS team.
