DECEMBER 1, 2022
9:15AM – 5:00PM

FOCUS THEME:
BEYOND 5G AND THE DISTRIBUTED EDGE CLOUD

The theme of this research review is “Beyond 5G and Distributed Edge Computing”.  The agenda includes a morning session on B5G/6G radio technologies, covering new projects such as meta-material MIMO antenna arrays, spectrum consumption models for spectrum sharing and transport protocol design for mmWave.  The afternoon session focuses on edge cloud including talks on a new NSF RINGS project on real-time machine learning with distributed edge clouds, experimental evaluation of AR/VR applications with edge cloud assistance, updates to the COSMOS smart intersection project and several others.  The agenda also includes two exciting invited guest lectures on sub-Terahertz and O-RAN by accomplished WINLAB collaborators, Prof. Yasaman Ghasempour from Princeton University and Tracy Van Brakle from AT&T Labs.

The recorded presentations are available at the WINLAB YouTube Channel.
