Security Issues in Cognitive Radios
In order to promote the spectrum usage efficiency, cognitive
radios are allowed to access suitable channels to maximize its
performance. One serious challenge is that greedy or malicious users
may exploit their abilities and get better performance at the cost
of the other nodes, or even the total network's performance. We are
trying to analyze different attacks and fix these vulnerabilities.
Location-based Service
The fundamental purpose of wireless localization is to facilitate
location-based services and applications. In this project, we will
explore a collection of location-based services and study the
problems and challenges that are inherent and specific to these
applications.
RFID Protocols & Design
RFID technology can be used to monitor the presence of multiple
assets. In order to save cost of RFID tags, their logic and
functions should be very simple, which leads to lots of collisions.
Our solution is to perform the multi-user detection in RFID readers
through signal processing techniques.
Secure Verifiable Localization
Wireless localization is vulnerable at attacks. Since all the
current localization techniques are making use of sampled physical
parameters, such as RSSI, these parameters are easy to be altered by
attackers. We propose to use power-modulated problems to verify a
user's location in the belief that attackers can not fake a
parameter unless they are able to sense it. |
