Abstract
This paper proposes several relay transmission schemes that lead to
minimum energy consumption in a mobile ad-hoc network. The study introduces
mobility in the form of a node that is capable of collecting data from sources
randomly distributed in space and delivering it to a fixed gateway. It defines
an energy cost function based on transmission powers, and then describes methods
for locating points on its predetermined trajectory that would minimize the
cost.
