I was born in the beautiful,
fascinating Turkish city, Istanbul,
almost thirty years ago. Following an early-age exposure to engineering,
electronics, and computers, I chose a formal education in Computer
Engineering (more or less). This continued, so I found myself working
towards a Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering here in States. I am a Ph.D candidate in the ECE department of Rutgers University, as a member of WINLAB.
Throughout these years, I found some time (spanning almost
nine years in total) and had the chance to work professionally
for Alcatel,
Yeditepe
University, Rutgers
University, and recently Intel
Corp.
Not to forget my share from entrepreneurship, I and one of my
college-mates have started a small business in IT sector in
1997,
A & A Computers Ltd., which run until we sold it in 2001.
Also, a good share of my years on earth embraced activities around
music. I sang in a few polyphonic choruses, played the guitar for about
ten years, even participated in a musical.
Lately, I have been planning for the remaining (hopefully short) part
of my Ph.D. studies and enjoying the life as an engaged man.
