Research interests
Most of my past and current projects are centered around mobility,
wireless, proxies, networking and operating systems. Though I have a soft
corner for theory, I consider myself an experimental researcher. I like
building prototype hardware, communication software, systems, and
applications.

My past
I am from Kanpur,
a city in north-central part of India.
Kanpur is only fifteen miles away
from Brahmavarta (now known as Bithoor), the place
which first witnessed the creation of mankind according to hindu mythology.
Approximately ten miles south of this place is IIT Kanpur where I studied
computer science during my undergraduate years. During 1990-1995, I was a
graduate student at University of
Maryland College Park. After four and an half great years at IBM Thomas J. Watson research center
followed by a brief, but intellectually stimulating, stint at AT&T Labs - Research, I started
toying with several entrepreneurial ideas. One of these has led to creation
of AirTight Networks, where I
spend most of my time these days.
