Solutions (PS) by Ricardo Losada (INSTRUCTOR's NOTE: These
solutions are very flawed. I don't have the source and cannot correct
them easily. However, they seem to over the years have generated enough
conversation that maybe they're useful as they are. Errors noted this
year so far (Fall 2002): problem 5 a, b and d are in error (so find
them yourself :)
